Jonah has had several days of good behavior at school. Phew!
Unfortunately he has picked up a habit of picking up things. (stealing) This is something we will be working on.
David is waiting to go in the Air Force soon and Noah has already left for Marine boot camp. As a matter of fact Lita reports that Noah is halfway through. Lita keeps close tabs on what he is doing on a daily basis. I am so glad he has someone that loves him so much that she misses him to the point of pain and keeps tabs of his daily activities. Liz is working at our local grocery store in the deli but does not seem to get many hours. Bekki is homeschooled but will complete her diploma requirements in January and both of them need to get their learner's permits. My next project is to get help for Daniel. He has not worked in a year now and though he is seemingly emotionally stable he really needs to work or collect SSI. I would love to hook him up with a case worker. If anyone has any suggestions please tell me. He is dx'd with Aspergers and it seems a shame to see him wander around. He needs medical coverage as well. Bekki and Mary work at McDonalds and seem to get the most hours. They have an excellent attitude about work and I am very proud of them. Abby is also doing well at work although she does not have the same amount of hours. It is a relief to see them apply for a job (even if it is a food service job) and succeed. Not all kids will stick with this kind of thing and I think it is a good sign.

Dan has been diagnosed with Narcolepsy. He is fatigued much of the time and the simple act of getting in the car to go to the store to pick something up leaves him exhausted. I am in a constant state of nervousness wondering if his condition will worsen.

We have a new roof on our home and we are planning to get it in shape so that when it is time to sell we will be ready. That will be a few years down the road but nonethless time to get busy.
We are getting two new furnaces put in as well. They will be converted from oil to gas.
So, it is Labor Day weekend and we are doing what all Americans do... grill and EAT!!

Beef sausages, corn-on-the-cob, pasta salad, baked potatoes, baked beans, and brownies for dessert.
